The Yavapai County Friends of the NRA Banquet
is one of the most successful fund-raisers for youth programs
and range development in Arizona. The 2001 banquet raised
nearly $23,000. For the past three years, Beauty from
Scratch has donated carvings on guns that go to
auction. Since joining the cause, we have carved a
Winchester 94, a Marlin 336 and 2 Baikal over and under
shotguns which raised more than $2,400.00. This quail flies on
the left side of the Friends of the NRA 2002
Silent Auction
Baikal.

This Grouse scene was on the
Baikal over-under that sold at the Yavapai
Friends of the NRA 2000 auction for
$675.

This hunting scene
was on the side of a Baikal over-under that commanded
$675 in the Yavapai Friends of the NRA 2001 Silent
Auction. A strong-side carving like this runs $200
alone. A complete package with strong-side and
weak-side carvings and checker panel treatment is
$475. With fish-scale checkering it’s
$500.

This alerted
white tail buck was on the strong side of a Marlin
336 carbine that auction for $460 at the 2001
Yavapai Friends of the NRA Banquet. Strong side
carving alone is
$200.

This Baikal
over/under sporting two Irish setters and a grouse on
the right side of the stock commanded $750 at the
Yavapai Friends of the NRA 2002 Silent
Auction.


This walking coyote carving was on the
strong-side of a Winchester 94 Ranger which brought $575
at the 2000 Yavapai Friends of the NRA Banquet Auction.
A strong side carving like this alone would run
$200.
