I began putting together this rifle back in early 1959. I carried it with me aboard the submarine I served aboard and had the barrel and action engraved and three silver inlays carved into it while we were in Japan. I did not have the stock checkered because I wanted something more custom. Then I saw some of Ben’s work and I knew I had to have him do this thing with my stock. I am so very happy with his carving and all the people the see it say “o-o-o-o-oooh!” I tell everybody if they want carving done to call Ben. The stock was rough cut from a blank by “Thompson.” And now I have the pleasure of having Ben Hansen turning it into a thing of beauty. ~ Michael A. Beveridge, Bishop, CA. |
